Definition of Backlog

A list of Items that represents everything that anyone interested in the Team’s Results or process has thought is needed or would be a good idea. It drives development and discussions with Stakeholders. 

Examples

The Backlog is owned by the Scrum Team, and it consists of Items describing all the work that stakeholders want the Scrum Team to do someday.

The primary purpose of the Backlog is to help manage the work the Scrum Team is doing, or will do.
