Validation
[val-i-dey-shuh n]
Definition of Validation
Validation is assuring that a Result (Capability) is fit for use; that it does what it needs to do. (compare to Verification)
Examples
Validation is often done as its own Story, conducting some sort of testing (e.g., exploratory testing, acceptance testing, or usability testing) in order to prove the Result is fit for use.
This validation can be done either by the Team itself, or by somebody outside the Team – often an Integration or Test Team.
