Definition of Cancelling a Sprint
The Team’s Product Owner (Team Captain) may cancel a Sprint at any time, usually because the Business Owner’s objective for the Sprint isn’t going to be met or because the objective is no longer what is needed.
Examples
The sprint was cancelled by the Product Owner after it was determined the sprint goal would not be met.
The Product Owner cancelled the sprint because the project ran out of money.
