Definition of Development Team

The subset of the Scrum Team that is actually producing Results; this may, or may not, include the Scrum Team’s Captain and Facilitator.

Examples

I would like to abolish the 'Development Team'; I want all Scrum Team Members to be producing Results.

In my experience, and based on what I hear from other Scrum coaches and trainers, virtually every successful Development Team doing Software is either doing XP or something like it.
