Definition of Sprint Goal

The Sprint Goal is a single, clear, benefit that defines success for the Sprint. According to the Scrum Guide, “The Sprint Goal is an objective that will be met within the Sprint…” – it is a commitment, not an aspiration.

Examples

The Team’s daily work is focused on getting Items Done while driving towards the Sprint Goal.
The Product Owner should review the Sprint Goal for the Sprint, and state whether or not the Team achieved it.
