Definition of Story Owner

A Team Member (or SME) who represents the Stakeholder’s interests in the Story to the rest of the Team during Planning and Development.

Examples

In other words, someone on the Team knows about each Story; that is, each Story has its own champion (Story Owner) who represents the Stakeholder’s needs and wants to the Team.

The Team must make sure that the Product Owner is familiar with what has happened so far, and that each Story has its Story Owner.
